[Rhys has already been bitten by a vampire since the end of the flood, so you'll have to forgive him a bit if his first reaction to that arm around his shoulders is to immediately jerk sideways, getting a small window of space between himself and Xigbar before he fully registers who it is beside him.

When he recognizes Xigbar, he calms down, a little. They aren't exactly best buddies, but he likes the guy well enough.]

[There's a nod, easy as anything, and although it's pretty clear that Xigbar isn't going anywhere, he doesn't object to Rhys pulling away a little. The point is to talk, not make Rhys any more uncomfortable than he might already have been.]
