"Harry's going to look at it, but we're still kind of diagnosing."
He rubs his shoulder absently, he doesn't know why the death toll hasn't fixed it. Just knows that it hasn't. But whatever, the elephant can just stay in the room for all he cares.
"Anyway, come in. Take a load off..."
There's both a chez lounge and an office chair pulled up to a huge mahogany desk that borders on being a spinny throne rather than just a chair.
"I never thought about that. Designing a cabin. I figured we all just got
whatever the Admiral gave us, though I did ask for a modification to
Kepler's when he was my temporary inmate. He was used to being able to
control artificial gravity during space travel, and he got one that was
non-adjustable."
Rhys has seen Taura's very plain cabin. It hadn't occurred to her that
there were options to consider.
"Full mirrored ceiling. Zen garden that becomes an indoor beach. Secret hatches-- he met me half way on the last one and let me put a bunch off my storage space behind like, reversable wall panels."
That huge water feature? Yep, he's stashed a bunch of electrical components behind it.
Taura, still grinning, applauds appreciatively. "If you're going to all
the trouble of designing the cabin, you might as well have fun with it.
Though I think I'm with Quentin on the indoor beach. Beaches are nice, but
I wouldn't want sand all over my floors. Then next thing you know, you'd
step in it, and track it everywhere, and wind up with sand in your bed."

Go on Taura grab a seat.

She nods, heading for the chaise. Sprawling seems preferable today.
"I love it," she tells him, grinning and gesturing to take in the whole room. "The rose gold details are a nice touch."

There's something in his tone that says her heels both grateful and deserving of this adulation,
"Me and Quentin designed it together last month. So I'd have somewhere to stay."

He drops into the spinning office throne and wheels over to Taura.
"You should redecorate! Get all the great stuff Quentin talked me out of!"

Taura laughs brightly at his eagerness. It's nice, after all the strain and worry. "What sort of stuff did Quentin talk you out of?"
A good topic, even if it stings to think too hard about Quentin or the fractures running through the family she's found here.

The Worst.
