No! No, I'm not bored. I get distracted. New shiny kids coming in left right and center, and one of them really wanted to get to know me and....well, this isn't helping, so I'm just gonna say;

Not. Bored.

[Rhys dips his head a little, so that his mouth is resting on the demon's stomach, and he opens his eyes to watch Betelgeuse's expression.]

You can talk about it if you want. Can I ask-- what happened? You just hit it off with him?

[He bites his lip with a shudder, nodding]

Yeah. Kid's queer as anything, brand new baby undead. I could smell it on him, lonely as shit. And we both love singing, dancing, and musicals.

I didn't know he bit you.

He sounds kind of perfect for you.

[Rhys observes, a little bleakly. Sounds like a better fit than an angry, wiry, squeamish corporate guy from the apocalypse, at least.]

Have you talked to him since I flipped out about it? He seemed kinda... uh, I mean he wasn't backing all the way off on your post.

[You don't think up a cutesy nickname for a guy you're intending to stop hitting on.]

Yeah, it was-- not a great first impression.

[he pets Rhys' hair all the way back, loving the way his hair feels on his fingers]

He's got a lot in common with me, sure. But that doesn't mean I wanna throw you out with the bathwater for that baby.

Yeah. We agreed to just be friends. Kid's already got some suitable admirers, he doesn't need a creepy old guy sniffing around him.

And if he does, he can hit up one of the other ones on board.

[Rhys suggests, somewhat mollified. He gives Betelgeuse's butt a ponderous little squeeze, then suggests:]

Hey, do you think I could pick you up?

[he gives a horny little yip at the squeeze, chuckling]

Uh. Yeah, probably. Why?

Oh, no reason. This just feels like a good angle to do it from.

[Annnnd that's all the warning you get, Betelgeuse, because he's going to wrap one arm under your back, and the other is going around the small of your back, and scoop you up off the desk.]

Holy shi-

[is the last words he gets out before he's being scooped up. Fortunate that Rhys has that cybernetic arm; this demon bod is heavy!]

[The robot arm is definitely the weight bearing arm, but the weight isn't a bad thing, honestly Rhys kinda wants to feel the other man's body in his arms, all his softness and strength.

He teeters back a little, then takes a bee line right until his legs hit the edge of his bed, and he tumbles sideways onto it, with Betelgeuse still held tight in his arms.]

[he is SO PLEASED that he's being carried! The room itself lights up green and he snuggles Rhys' neck and face, cackling when they fall into the bed in a tumble of limbs]

Oh, I see your plan, Baby Bear!

Nuh uh.

[This mumbled from where he's still hanging onto Betelgeuse.]

No plan. Just thought this would be a good serious conversation position, for doing this very serious deep relationship conversation we need to have.

[He nuzzles his face into position so that he can blow a raspberry on Betelgeuse's stomach.]

[he gives a warm laugh, delighted as he strokes a hand down Rhys' back, over and over]

Hey, I wrote an apology song for you.

Oh yeah?

[Rhys flashes Betelgeuse a little grin.]

Does it need a trumpet accompaniment?

[Because he's going to blow another raspberry. Toot toot.]

[oh no you're a treat. He laughs, loud and uninhibited as he grasps Rhys' head and tries to push him back]

Stop! Stop, that tickles. Don't tickle me, I'm sensitive.

But it's my instrument! I wanna join the band!

[Rhys lets himself be pushed back, but when your music is the music of the raspberry, it can be played on anything!

Rhys wriggles his mouth into the palm of Betelgeuse's hand, makes eye contact, and blows another, tiny raspberry.]

Hahahaha!

[he cackles, shivering in delight, and wraps his free arm around Rhys to roll with him in a hug]

[Rhys laughs as well, lets himself be rolled into the other man's arms.]

Okay, okay-- Can I hear your song?

[he settles down on his back, sitting Rhys up on top]

Right now? I've gotta go get my guitar.

Aww, you can't do it acapella?

[Rhys perches on top of Betelgeuse, resting his hands on Betelgeuse's chest, a sly smile crossing his face.]

I could be your percussion section if you want?

[Aaaaaannnnd I hope you're enjoying Rhys's current joke, which is of course, playing Betelgeuse, so he's going to tap out a little rhythm on your chest.]

Oh my god. Stringbean!

[he laughs and grasps for Rhys' hands.]

All right, all right! Knock it off, you're throwing off my rhythm. I'll sing.

I could do you a whole jazz act and all you'd have do do is sit there.

[Rhys insists, but he's not really protesting in earnest. He finally stills, waiting for Betelgeuse to sing for him.]

[he totally didn't write a song. He stole it from justin bieber and hopes that Rhys doesn't have an equivalent in his universe. What copyright infringement?

But at least he sings it nicely to Rhys, hugging his hand to Rhys' thighs as he sings]

[This is a great scam to pull on Rhys, who knows almost nothing of your lame ass ancient earth pop culture, so he's all set to be wowed.

And look, there's a reason why Justin Bieber has sold that many records, good pop is good pop, and it's pretty impressive to be able to sing like that with a guy sitting on top of you. When the song concludes, Rhys leans down to cup the demon's face with his ,hands.]

Okay you twisted my arm. Apology accepted.

[He plants a little kiss between Betelgeuse's eyes.]

That was really good, by the way. I mean, your songs are always good, but that one was the best. And not even just because it was all about how much you need my forgiveness because you love me.

[he sucks in a breath at the kiss, flinching but in a teasing kind of way. BJ is 100% a Belieber.

And it seems to have worked, so he grins, satisfied and basking in Rhys' attention]
